Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is putting down his ax while he goes under the knife.
Spokeswoman Marcee Rondan says Perry is canceling a solo show on April 5 in Niagara Falls, N.Y., while he recovers from knee surgery.
The statement released Monday says Perry, 57, has needed knee surgery for two years but put off the procedure so he wouldn't miss any Aerosmith tour dates.
