The award winning Gibson Amphitheatre is one of the most active live performance venues in the world, drawing artists as varied as James Taylor, Nine Inch Nails, Juan Gabriel, Bette Midler, Keith Sweat, Beck, Wynonna and Kenny G. With no curfew, no sound restrictions, and no seat more than 150 feet from the stage, the Gibson Amphitheatre is the place to see a concert in Southern California!
Universal CityWalk is a part of Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Japan originating from Universal's first park, Universal Studios Hollywood. CityWalk serves as an entertainment district, as well as the path from the parking lots, to the theme parks. All three entertainment districts include shopping, eateries, and entertainment venues.
CityWalk Hollywood and CityWalk Florida both have major similarities and differences, mainly in layout and design. CityWalk Hollywood incorporates a classic modern blend of Hollywood, while CityWalk Florida follows a modern city feel.
Universal City is the 415 acre (1.7 km²) property of Universal Studios in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles County, California. Approximately 70% is in an unincorporated area of the county surrounded by the City of Los Angeles, and the remaining area is in the city itself. It continues to be home to Universal Studios. Located here are 10 Universal City Plaza (a 36-floor office building for Universal and NBC), the Sheraton Universal, the Universal Hilton, Universal Studios Hollywood (the theme park), Universal CityWalk (a shopping and entertainment center), Gibson Amphitheatre (host to concerts and other events), and Universal's studios, sets, and lots. A Metro Rail Red Line station that serves Universal City is located across the street from 10 Universal Plaza.
Universal City is unincorporated to avoid City of Los Angeles business taxes and regulations (the community has a building permit office on site, simplifying the building process).
